Teabag folding
Teabag
folding originated in
Holland where creative
housewives folded
the decorative wrappers from individual herbal teabags into rosettes.
Teabag papers come in a massive array of colours and themes. Most designs are produced from a basic square or triangle fold but there are many other folds and variations on these. Each rosette is usually made up of 8 paper squares. A 2” square is often used but depending on the size of rosette you require the paper can be of any size, even 12”, as long as it is square. Your 8 folded papers are then slotted together to form a rosette and held in place with a little glue or double-sided tape.
Once complete the rosettes can be added to your card or scrapbook page along with any papers, ribbons, stickers, punched shapes, etc that compliment your design. The A5 card on the left was made (for less than 90 pence) using a daisy mini-picture sheet and the chicken teabag sheet (only available from Wobbly Mog).
